Wellington Primary Care Partnership are excited to announce that they have been recently recognised by the Victorian Government as in an employer of choice after reaching statewide benchmarks for physical activity, healthy eating, smoking, alcohol and mental health under the Achievement Program. Wellington Primary Care Partnership is the first workplace to achieve this status in the Wellington Shire.
Wellington Primary Care Partnership’s health and wellbeing program have initiated key initiatives which include participating in Active April, purchasing a bike rack to support staff to ride their bike to work, providing a healthy tuckerbox, outdoor meetings, daily walks around the block, afternoon games of bocce, a water cooler accessible for all staff members and staff members encouraged and supported in volunteering with meals on wheels which supports good mental health in the workplace.
We are also pleased to announce that Linda Hunt has joined the Wellington Primary Care Partnership Team in the role of Healthy Wellington Workplaces Project Officer to continue the work with local workplaces in Wellington under the Achievement Program framework. If your workplace is eager to introduce a healthy work environment, Linda is more than happy to help you sign up and assist you through the process. Linda can be contacted at linda.hunt@cghs.com.au or 5143 8844.
